On 31.3.2012 FiWA and Lord Nelson Pub Copenhagen are organising a unique naval game event at Copenhagen. The idea is recreate the battle of Copenhagen 1801 with table top wargame rules and 1:1200 model ships. The event is hosted in the centre of Copenhagen at the Lord Nelson Bar.
The rule set which will be used for the event is “Form Line of Battle”.
We will not use the rulebook scenario for the battle, but a what if scenario which we have named “If the Swedish had helped the Danish “.
Each player will command 1 to 3 ships, depending on the amount of participants. One player from each side will be nominated as the fleet admiral.
The event will be open to the general public, and we will actively encourage spectators to participate. The media may also pop by.
Lord Nelson Bar. Hyskenstræde 9. 1207 Copenhagen, Denmark. The venue is situated in the heart of the city close to all the major attractions.

The Lord Nelson Pub is run by Richard Darby, it offers 14 Danish micro brewery beers on draught along with their own real ciders. They are also arranging for a special beer to be brewed for the event.
At the pub you can buy a “Lord Nelson” glass as souvenir from the event!
The wargamers’ partners and non participants will organise alternative activities during the battle, such as a shopping tour or a trip to Tivoli. If someone does not want to watch 10 hours of a naval game contact kirsi.vare [at] gmail.com. The venue is situated in the middle of the shopping area.
FiWA järjestää Helsingissä 1.-2.10. avoimen testiturnauksen IWF Ancients säännöillä.
IWF Ancients (International Wargames Format) on ilmaiseksi jaettava sotapelisäännöstö, joka on yhteensopiva DBM-armeijoiden kanssa. Turnauksessa käytettävä versio julkaistaan näillä sivuilla myöhemmin.
Pelaajat voivat vapaasti valita armeijalistansa. Tarjolla myös laina-armeijoita.

Lokakuussa FiWA:n esitellytiski suuntaa kohti Prahaa. FiWA on paikalla Praha Deskohrani lautapelitapahtumassa peluuttamssa 1426-vuoteen sijoittuvaa taistelua hussiittien ja saksalaisten välillä.
Sääntöinä on tarkoitus käyttää IWF Ancients sääntöjen testiversiota, 15mm figuureja ja 120cm x 80cm. Armeijoiden ja skenaarion rakentamisesta lisää artikkeleita myöhemmin.
FiWA osallistuu Jämijärvellä pidettävään ilmailu tapahtumaan 15.-17.7. Esittelemme tapahtumassa ilmataisteluihin sijoittuvia sotapelejä.
